Ireland Inc. is a precious metals exploration stage company which applies a proprietary discovery, sampling, and recovery methodology to locate, mine, and recover gold, silver and other minerals.
The Company’s flagship mining property, the Columbus Project, consists of 48,858 acres (380 acres presently permitted for production, 80 acres of private land) in Esmeralda County, Nevada.
Mr. Birnie was a founder of Columbus Group Communications Inc., a privately owned company that was acquired by TELUS Corp., one of Canada’s leading telecommunications companies, in 2001. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia in 1994. In 1998, Mr. Birnie received the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year Award”, a Business Development Bank of Canada “Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award” and was named by Business in Vancouver as one of the top “40 under 40” which recognizes Vancouver’s 40 most remarkable business achievers under the age of 40.
Mr. Strickler has worked in the construction and real estate industries for 15 years with expertise in both finance and operations. During the last 8 years, he served as the Executive VP of Finance for the leading luxury homebuilder in Las Vegas. In addition, he has owned and operated an accounting services firm and was an owner of a snowboard manufacturing business. Mr. Strickler earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA with an emphasis in Finance, from Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Brennan was appointed as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors on June 24, 2009. Since 1996, Mr. Brennan has served as the President of his own consulting firm, the Brennan Consulting Group, through which he has managed a number of long-term, multi-year management and operations consulting engagements in various business sectors. In addition, Mr. Brennan also founded and operated a number of private companies beginning in the early 1990’s. Mr. Brennan holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and an MA in Management from National University. Early in Mr. Brennan’s career he served his country for eight years as a fighter pilot and instructor pilot with the United States Air Force after earning his BS degree from the United States Air Force Academy.
